This Weekend's PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' Event Mode Is Called "War"
Come one, come all.
PUBG's weekly event mode has been announced, and those who check out the custom server browser will be familiar with it. This weekly event mode is a limited time custom game mode which will only be available on weekends, and its name is "War", and it's available to everyone this weekend. There's also a short trailer for you to gaze upon above.
What does this War mode consist of, you ask? It's PUBG's version of team deathmatch. A small section of Erangel will be available in this said mode, and players will be split into 3 10 player squads. Good news, the zone doesn't shrink.
You'll spawn with preset loadouts that will contain 1 random assault rifle / DMR, a random pistol, level 1 helmet and vest, and 1 grenade. Don't worry though, you'll be able to grab some higher level goodies in buildings and in case packages that drop every 90 seconds. War mode supports respawning, so you'll be able to hop back into the action in just a few seconds.
Kills are worth 3 points, and knocks and reviving a teammate bag you 1 point each. The first squad to hit 200 points wins. Simples.
All regions have access to the mode in 3rd person. If you're in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, or Oceania, a first person version will be available. If you'd like you can grab up to 9 friends to join as a full party, and of course any remaining spaces will be filled by matchmaking.
War mode is available now and until 16th April 3am UK, and 15th April 7pm PT / 10pm ET.
