Dynamic Weather & 50 Gen 3 Pokemon To Come In Next Pokemon Go Update
Gotta catch 'em all.
Pokemon Go is still going strong after the decline of players who rushed to try out the highly anticipated mobile game that let them relive their childhood. The mobile game will be receiving an update later this week that will let 50 Gen 3 Pokemon loose into the wild, as well as implementing an awesome gameplay mechanic.
The starters will kick things off (namely Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip), and a few more little monsters from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire will become available over the coming weeks.
Remember that awesome gameplay I was talking about earlier? Drum roll please... it's a dynamic weather system! Weather effects will be added to the game which will in turn affect the way you discover, catch, and interact with Pokemon as it's based on local weather patterns. Trainers are advised to pay close attention to their current local weather forecast when preparing to catch Pokemon.
The weather will impact Pokemon in a variety of different ways & some attacks might be more effective during specific conditions. E.g. you'll have more luck finding a Mudkip if it's raining, and Charizard's fire spin will be more effective when it's nice and sunny.
You may have noticed Gen 3 Pokemon out and about before this article and you'd be correct. They started arriving back in October when the Halloween event kicked off - here we saw Duskull, Sableye, Banette amongst others show their little faces for the first time in Pokemon Go.
Will you be trekking out in all weathers to catch 'em all? After all, you've got to travel across the land, searching far and wide ;)
