Assassin's Creed: Origins beats Super Mario Odyssey to UK No.1
Assassin's Creed pulls out ahead in week 1.
It was always going to be a close race to the top of the charts this week, with huge titles such as Super Mario Odyssey, Wolfenstein II and Assassin's Creed: Origins all in contention for the number 1 spot, but only one game could claim victory of release week.
Ubisoft managed to claim the place at the top of the charts with Assassin's Creed: Origins, with Nintendo's Super Mario Odyssey coming in just behind at No.2.
Chart-Track says that Odyssey is the biggest release for Nintendo Switch so far, "comfortably beating The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" during its first week on sale.
Bethesda's Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus didn't manage to creep into the Top 3, landing at No.4. FIFA 18 clings on at No.3
Assassin's Creed: Origins, Super Mario Odyssey and Wolfenstein II all launched to critical acclaim last week, making it a good time to be a gamer as we come to towards the end of 2017.
