Experience a tougher adventure without sacrificing your current progress.
Half of Breath Of The Wild's DLC
will be available soon, and if you were worrying about having to start all over again to experience Master Mode, I'm here to tell you that there's no need to worry. Master Mode will utilise a separate set of save slots, and they will be distinctly different from Normal Mode saves, however "you can only make sure of 2 save data slots compared to six save data slots available in Normal Mode"
In Master Mode
, you'll encounter tougher enemies from the beginning of your adventure, and that also means no Red Bokoblins. You might see new ranks of enemies that you've never seen before. Foes will be better at detecting your approach and they'll slowly recover health in battle. Don't forget to look up, because there will be planks floating in the sky; tougher enemies and useful treasures await you if you decide to go toe to toe with them!
Aside from Master Mode, the 1st DLC pack, the Master Trials, includes the Trial Of The Sword and the Heroes Path Mode. Trial Of The Sword is a survival-like gameplay mode where you start with no weapons or armour and you must defeat enemies in each room to progress. The reward is to "awaken the power of the Master Sword, and it will always be in its glowing powered up state while useable". The Heroes Path Mode tracks where you've been in Hyrule over the last 200 hours of your adventure, letting you see where you've not explored. Imagine all the loot you could come across in unexplored territories!
The Travel Medallion will also come with the Master Trials, which lets you place a temporary game to "travel gate anywhere that you can stand on the map". New armour inspired by Midna's Helmet, Majora's Mask, and Phantom Armour, and TIngle's outfit will also be included. I can't wait to save Hyrule in style!
I think you'll be relieved to hear about the next addition, our prayers have been answered. The Korok Mask will help you find the 900 Koroks hiding around Hyrule; it'll shake to let you know that a Korok is near. No need to rely on those Korok guides so much!
