Assassin's Creed Origins Won't Have Multiplayer - Rumour

I travel alone.

As you've probably seen, there have been plenty of rumours swirling around about the new Assassin's Creed. Even the title 'Assassin's Creed Origins' is a rumour.

The latest rumour comes from 4Chan, which has made a fair few detailed claims about the upcoming title, and one of them says that it will be single player online, with no multiplayer to be seen.

The leaker says that the Assassin's Creed Origins development team decided to focus on the single player gameplay and experience, putting multiplayer on the back burner. Previous titles in the series have featured multiplayer, however the lack of multiplayer functionality shouldn't really shock or surprise Assassin's Creed fans as the previous installment, Syndicate, didn't have multiplayer features.

If the leaker is to be believed, Origins will microtransactions of sorts, much like Black Flag and Unity. There were no details surrounding this claim stating what form the microtransactions would take on in the game.

Nothing has been confirmed, so it's advised to take this information with a pinch of salt. E3 is coming up, so we'll most likely hear more about the game then, as well as find out which rumours turned out to be true.

Do you think Assassin's Creed needs multiplayer functionality (personally I don't)? Let us know below!
