Pokemon Go To Stop Supporting Older iPhones & iPads
Make sure your device is supported.
Come February 28th, some Apple devices will cease to support Pokemon Go.
Niantic announced this fairly big change today, confirming that iPhone 5 / 5c models and below will not be able to play the game following the next update. Niantic said that the decision is a result of "improvements to Pokemon Go that push the application beyond the capabilities of the operating systems on such devices".
You may be asking "how do I know if my device will be supported?" It's simple, if you're running iOS 11, or you're able to install the update, you're a-ok.
Once the update has been released into the wild, players on these older devices won't be able to access their accounts, use PokeCoins, or any other items in their bags. As well as the iPhone 5 / 5c, the 1st - 4th generations of iPads will also be affected.
Will you need to upgrade to carry on catching e'm all, or are you safe to go on your merry way? Let us know below!
