Attack On Titan 2's New Trailer Is Here To Get You Ready For Next March
Omni-directional mobility gear at the ready!
2016's Attack On Titan certainly dressed to impress, and with that success comes Attack On Titan 2. In the west, the sequel will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on 20th March. The plot will closely follow the second season of the anime (if we're going by the above trailer). The focus was shifted off Eren, and Ymir and others got some screen time instead. Naturally there are some spoilers for the 2nd season in the trailer, so you might want to catch up before giving it a watch.
The trailer mainly shows cutscenes, including shots straight from the anime and translating them into 3D. The battle system in the previous game was pretty sweet, and this entry aims to make the titans even scarier than before.
The first game was available on PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and Xbox One. You may have noticed above that it's dropping the PS Vita (only Japan will be getting a PS Vita version), and PS3 versions. Instead, we're getting a Switch version, so you can slay those menacing beastly titans on the go.
Attack On Titan 2 puts you in the shoes of a number of the anime's most recognised characters such as Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Miche Zacharias, Nanaba, Gelgar, Ymir, Armin Arlert, Christa Lenz, and Levi. TrueAchievements has reported that a further 5 characters will be available to play as, namely Thomas Wagner, Mina Carolina, Nile Dawk, Marlo, and Hitch. You can also opt for your own Custom Scouts, which is pretty awesome.
As a reminder, here's last month's trailer:
Who's looking forward to March next year? I don't need to tell you that I certainly am!
