New Red Dead Redemption 2 Information To Drop At 4pm UK Time
What could it be?
Rockstar will be treating us to some Red Dead Redemption 2 news today, but what could it be?
It's been a while since we heard anything official from Rockstar about this highly anticipated sequel, but a teaser late last week stated that we'll be hearing more about the game on 28th September, which so happens to be today! We're a tad late reporting this announcement but hey, it still serves as a reminder if you've already heard about it!
First of all, let's get this out of the way, please oh please don't be another delay! As we all know, Rockstar is notorious for pushing back release dates for its games, and there's no exception to the rule for those big and important titles. GTA V suffered delays when it first launched for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and received another serving of delays when it was being rebuilt for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Red Dead Redemption 2 has already been delayed once, so let's hope it doesn't get given the shift for the second time.
Could we be seeing a new trailer and gameplay? It's a possibility. Whether it'll be another trailer with more story details or actual gameplay footage is yet to be unveiled, so for now we'll just have to sit tight.
We already know there's going to be a multiplayer world, and PS4 players will get early access to select online content. Will it be similar to GTA Online, or will it be something more traditional like the original game's competitive and co-op modes? Unfortunately I don't have a crystal ball, so we'll just have to play the waiting game. Take-Two reckons that it won't compete with GTA Online and its success; that success changed the content plan for GTA V completely, scrapping single player DLC plans and instead frequent Online updates were pushed, such as heists and DLC drops. You never know, if Red Dead Redemption 2's online multiplayer proves to be popular, we could be seeing similar knock on effects.
Could there be a PC version in the works? As a PC gamer myself, I would love to hear this. So far, only PS4 and Xbox One versions are confirmed; this move caused PC gamers to create a petition for a version for their platform, and I say why not? Opening up RDR2 to the PC platform will let even more people enjoy this masterpiece of a game.
What could the news be? It could be one of the above, all of the above, or something completely different, but Rockstar wouldn't tease something for nothing. What do you think it could be? Chime in below.
