Assassin's Creed Origins is getting a combat-free educational mode
For everyone that just wants to explore a little Ancient Egypt.
You won't have to draw your sword to soak in the sights of Ancient Egypt in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
Ubisoft will give Assassin's Creed: Origins players the option to switch off combat, timed challenges, and the game's story in a mode titled "Discovery Tour", which is due to land in a patch early next year.
"From the beginning the Assassin's Creed franchise has always explored pivotal moments in history, from the Third Crusade to the Italian Renaissance, and this year Ancient Egypt," creative director Jean Guesdon said in a statement. "It's a dream come true for us to offer Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt, an educational mode built specifically for people to learn more about the incredible history of Ancient Egypt through the interactive experience made possible via a video game.”
The educational mode with come with a series of curated guided tours from historians and Egyptologists, where players can learn all about Egypt in an interactive setting.
Discovery Tour is due out for Assassin's Creed: Origins in early 2018. You can pick up Origins on October 27th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
