Watch The New Trailer For Until Dawn's VR Prequel, The Inpatient; Due November
The creepy and downright horrifying Blackwood Sanatorium welcomes you once again.
I remember being so invested in Until Dawn's story, hoping that I wouldn't make decisions that would result in a loved character's demise. I've not been fortunate enough to try Rush Of Blood as I don't have a PSVR headset, and besides, the game room is too small.
Until Dawn is getting another VR addition, but this time in the form of a prequel. The Inpatient is set 60 years before the events of Until Dawn and we'll be revisiting our old friend, the Blackwood Sanatorium. For those of you who played Until Dawn, you'll remember the horrible and creepy events that took place in the abandoned sanatorium, and you'll be revisiting it to find out exactly what happened to the patients.
Simon Harris, Supermassive Games's Executive Producer said in a post on the Playstation Blog that the game will let you "piece together the rich backstory" of the place and the character you play as, who has no memory of how they got there. “Certain objects you find will trigger vivid flashbacks, helping you discover your past and circumstances which brought you there. You’ll also get to meet the staff and patients, each with their own agendas and motivations which may or may not be immediately clear”.
"You'll get to influence and shape how the story unfolds as you witness the horrific events of the sanatorium's final days" said Harris. There will be multiple different endings depending on how you play and the decisions you make, much like the original game.
Will you be slipping on your PSVR headset on 21st November to witness the creepy goings-on in the sanatorium? Let us know!
