You Won't Be Able To Customise Imported Characters In Destiny 2
Your faithful companion can't receive customisation.
Destiny 2 players were promised that their character's appearance from the original game would carry over. Naturally there was an assumption that players would be able to customise their imported character further, unfortunately that said assumption is wrong.
In a post about Character Migration on Bungie's website, it states that your imported character will not be able to have further customisation:
Will players be able to edit their migrated character's customisation options in Destiny 2?
No. There is currently no plan to allow players to edit the customisation options of an imported character.
While it makes sense for imported characters to not receive customisation options, it's still a bit disappointing for those who wanted to slightly tweak their faithful companion.
Your best bet is to start afresh with a new character so you have access to the entire catalogue of customisation options available in Destiny 2. Will the customisation options from Destiny 1 be available, as well as the latest additions in its sequel, or will they stay the same? We'll just have to wait until the game releases next month to find out, or if Bungie hands us a sneak peek at character customisation options.
