Destiny 2 Supers Will Charge Quicker Than In Beta
Destiny 2's console beta is over, with PC's beta still to come, and it gave us some insight into how the sequel is coming along. You may remember the long waits between supers, which wasn't great. You will be pleased to hear however that Bungie got the message and "in the wake of the beta, we've made a few changes that will increase super generation across the game" said Luke Smith, game director.
Smith was answering a question about the feedback from Destiny 2's beta, and reiterated that Bungie had already started to tweak some of the things players didn't like about the beta, like the weak grenades and low ammo drops.
There are still some worries about Destiny 2's balance, as PvE players are concerned that the focus is "skewed" towards balancing PvP. Smith also commented on this, stating that outgoing agility, melee, and weapon damage are balanced separately for PvE and PvP sandboxes, they're not trying to make the two feel different.
"In Destiny you build a character with a bunch of powers, abilities, and we hope, a combat rhythm that is consistent across the game" Smith stated. He also said that the player character will be silent throughout the game, and Mark Noseworthy, project lead, hopes to patch in HDR support sometime after release.
