PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita get price cuts
Price drops for older Sony systems following PS4 release.
Sony have announced that their handheld system and their PlayStation 3 console will be receiving price cuts.
The new prices for these platforms will be $199 in America and €199in Europe.
PlayStation Vita has been needing a price cut for a while, with the handheld console having slow sales since release. Sony are giving the Vita some more focus with the release of PlayStation 4, giving the Vita cross-compatible games and having it act almost like the Wii-U's gamepad. Sony are optimistic that the release of the PS4, plus the price drop of the system, will help to improve its sales.
During Sony's Gamescom conference, they announced that the PS4 and Vita will share titles, and almost every game will be playable through both using the console's Remote Play option.
They are also releasing new IPs for the Vita, as well as adding Borderlands 2 and Fez to the Vita lineup.
Sony has claimed that over 900 titles will be available for the system by the end of 2013, with 150 being Vita exclusives.
