On Friday 13th September 1996, the infamous rap artist Tupac `2Pac’ Shakur was shot and killed - he was 25. His debut album 2Pacalypse Now earned him notoriety throughout the hip-hop industry, leading to his high profile film debut in the Ernest R Dickerson’s Juice. Although atypical for recording artists to make the successful transition onto celluloid, Tupac did just that, receiving acclaim from movie critics worldwide. His latest posthumous release, Until the End of Time went triple platinum putting his career sales at 33.5 million records sold, making him the best selling hip-hop artist of all time.
