Reviewed by: Aryn from Brampton, Ontario, Canada Bulky But Useful I never purchased an internal battery for the psp because I find the battery compartment on the back of the psp to be slightly bothersome to open and decided that an external battery would be sufficient. I also mess around with various software hacks and programs on my psp system that require a different version of firmware so I often need to upgrade and downgrade the firmware but always had to wait until I get home in order to do so due to the fact that I need an external power source. I have field tested this battery pack and found that it performs adequately, I would prefer to take this along with me on a long visit to a relative’s house or weekend vacation instead of the ac adaptor. It is aesthetically pleasing and also has two prongs on the side that fold out and a plastic clip on the cord to allow wrapping the cord up so that it does not tangle or get in the way when reaching into a pocket or bag. The only problem with the joytech battery pack is it is too big, it is supposed to provide as much battery life as the psp’s internal battery and takes up the space of about 4 internal batteries or half of the psp system so it is a bit bulky, although it is less bulky than the psp’s ac adaptor. I would have given it a 4 out of 5 if not for the size of this product.
