Reviewed by: DB from UK Good game, but not the best ’Burnout’... ...That title belongs to ’Burnout Revenge’ i’m afraid. Nevertheless, ’Paradise’ is well worth alook, and fun to play. The GTA style free-roaming takes a while to get used to, but once you get into it, its great fun. One thing i do hope the developer will do, is to make a patch to enable you to use your music stored on the PS3 in the game - all that teeny pop punk stuff, that E.A insist on putting in their games, does my head in!

It all started with "Burnout" almost 5 years ago in February 2003 on the Playstation 2, Since then the series has evolved, Point of Impact (2003), Takedown (2004), Revenge (2005), aswell as legends & dominator on handheld consoles, one thing that has remained true is that Burnout has always been a Must own purchase for a Palystation Owners, with only "Burnout dominator" on Nintendo Ds receiving a score lower than 80%...
So Onto Paradise, Otherwise known as Burnout 5, the True sequal to the late-2005 hit, Burnout Revenge.
While Each burnout game has evolved the series usually by adding more cars, improed graphics and features, This time round Burnout Make the true leap into the Next generation with the most drastic & exciting change ever for a burnout game.
Anyone who played the likes of Test Drive unlimitedWill know all about a Free-roaming Game..
Burnout not only does this, but it does it better than anyone else.
In Paradise your in a Large City, known as "Paradis City" In the City you can drive around freely, pull up at a set of traffic lights, and begin a Race/Crash event etc..
Or with just a few button presses on the D-pad you can quickly jump into an Online game with other racers.
The Gameplay in Burnout is as fast and furious as ever, with true Next generation graphics this is the best city you’re yet to Burn in.
Not only are graphics greatly improved but the A.I is one of the best yet seen in a Racing game.
Not only will your rivals do there best to take you out, or avoid your attempts, they also play to the road, So just as you would they will often attempt to push you into an obstacle, or use there boost to beat you past an oncoming car, It all mounts to one of the best racing experiences your likely to get this year.
Theres a whole City to explore, full of shortcuts, and opportune layouts, that can help you or hinder you. add to this the wealth of options and modes, and the fully intuitive online/offline system and Paradise is set to please
Overall Burnout WILL IMPRESS....
Graphically Burnout improves over other Racing games like Call of Duty 4 did over other Shooters.
With Tons of race’s, events, cars & unlocks Burnout is a game you’ll be happy to play for Months to come.
