If Friedrich Nietzsche was a Games Designer...
This is a difficult game. Difficult, but not impossible. Unlike some games, Demon’s Souls doesn’t "cheat". All of the confrontations are winnable, you just have to learn how. And when you die (And you will) its because you made a mistake. This is the key point of the game. You (Not your character) have to learn how to fight in this world. The game teaches you when to block, when to strike or when to turn tail and flee. The game is like playing a season of ProEvo with each excursion away from the Nexus being like playing a match. You may lose the match, but you will have learnt from the experience and next time you will do better. The game itself is a glorious dark fantasy romp with atmospheric levels ranging from the wind blasted ruined castle of the Storm King to the sadistic blood stained prison in the Tower of Latria (Lord of the Rings meets Silent Hill). For those who do manage to get to the end, with the climactic meeting between your character and the Old One, you get the pleasure of playing it all again. Only this time the difficulty level is even higher. As Nietzsche would have said: "What does not destroy me, makes me stronger."

WARNING!
I imported this game from Asia, and i have to say this is possibly the most difficult and frustrating game i’ve played. The first part of the game basically gets you used to the controls. Then you fight a boss, and get killed (its intentional). You then have to fight your way through a castle to reach the boss at the end. however get killed once and back to the beginning you go!! The game won’t even let you pause. I can’t comment on the rest of the game, because i haven’t got any ****her. This is a game for sadists believe me. Good game, but be warned - its very frustrating!
