The main character, Tidus, is a star player of blitzball, a hugely popular full-contact sport. Yuna, the female lead, is an honest and determined young woman who learns the secret art of summoning and controlling aeons—powerful spirits of yore. These two people of widely different backgrounds and abilities must work together as they journey through the world of Spira. This installment of FINAL FANTASY features a distinct Asian influence, bringing a fresh feel to the characters, music, settings, and story.

Final Fantasy X (10) - Features

Voice-overs will be featured for the first time in the series, utilizing the "Facial Motion System."

High-polygon, motion-captured player characters, designed by Tetsuya Nomura, bring lifelike realism to the screen.

The camera will automatically shift its perspective to correspond with the movements of the characters, a feature now possible due to the title being largely polygonal.

Characters will be able to rotate in and out of the party even in the heat of battle, allowing a "tag team" approach to fighting.

An excellent game...something you will never get sick of.
Final Fantasy X has to be the best game in the acclaimed Final Fantasy series. It has many excellent features. My favourites being the excellent CGI animation. The characters in main parts of the game look so real...that even my friends mistake them for real people in images that I show them. The storyline is brilliant. Tidus is a young 17 year old Blitzball ace who is living in Zanarkand 1000 years before his journey begins. When he arrives in Spira he meets up with Yuna a young 17 year old summoner and from there they journey to Zanarkand...a city destroyed by the great Machina war 1000 years ago. Tidus becomes her guardian. Feelings between the pair begin to grow throughout the game. The scene in Macalania will take your breathe away. This is where they share an intimate moment in a spring and the graphics are so amazing. Along with the song "Suteki Da Ne" by Rikki. The sphere grid can kind of get annoying but it’s kinda fun in an odd way. I don’t mind it. The bosses are generally not that hard if you’ve trained up well enough before. Make sure to train whenever you can. I made the mistake of fleeing a lot. Believe me, going back to train up is no fun. The music, graphics, voice-overs and storyline are so amazing. The ending will surely make you cry. Make sure that when the credits come on to stay to the end. After the credits finish you will be treated with a graphical moment of Tidus. This will be the hint that X-2 has something in store for you. Enjoy the game. I hope I was a help. Yunie Tidus
