Open Mountain Environment: Get dropped onto the lower peak of the biggest mountain you’ve ever seen. You’ll seamlessly board from one awesome area to the next—entering competitions, taking on Big Challenges, and discovering hidden collectables. Master the Challenges on all three peaks in your quest to conquer the Mountain... and make it your own.

Characters: Four new rivals join six returning characters. Mac, Elise, Zoe, Moby, Psymon, and Kaori are back, and they’re joined by the crazy Swede Viggo, mountain man Nate, 12 year-old phenom Griff, and the talented and sexy Allegra.

Rich, Natural Graphics: SSX3 boasts amazing graphics that show details like incredibly realistic shadows and snow that sparkles, reflects light, and even blows in the wind. These are just some of the rich environmental details created by an OSCAR® nominated Hollywood visual effects designer. The amazing visuals work together to totally immerse the user in the SSX 3 world.

More Tricks: The tricks are completely blown out in SSX3. There is a collection of new Uber Tricks where users can combo and hold. Not only will SSX3 have the addition of specific Uber tricks on rails, users will even be able to perform hand plants. With the new board press tricks, gamers can extend a combo string—forever!

Soundtrack: An adrenaline charged soundtrack promises to be one of the game industry’s best yet, featuring a broad range of music from such artists as the X-Ecutioners, Felix Da Housecat, Queens of the Stone Age, N.E.R.D., and many more.

Play How You Want: With SSX 3, users will be able to choose how they play—and how they progress. Users will have the option of competing in a variety of events (Race, Big Air, Slope Style, and Super Pipe) or at the last minute opting to take off and freeride.

Big Challenges: Take on any number of unique challenges as you explore the mountain world. Grind billboards, board press logs, even hand plant the fence line. There are over 100 challenges to board again and again.

Customization and Rewards: SSX 3 has also expanded the character customization and rewards system. You’ll earn medals and trophies to fill up your trophy room, level up your riders’ abilities through a deeper attribute system, and even rename the peaks as you master them. Along with fully customizable characters (including cheats to equip them with over the top gear and attributes) you can customize your personal play list and much more.

Cool game

This game is one of the best games i have played for the PS2. The "Conquer the mountain" mode is the best. As you play along you get better and the game gets harder through the peaks. Really nice cool high flying moves. 10/10.

This is a must have for your console!!

Talk about a cool game!! If you like the first two games, you’re going to love this one! The controls are very similar to that of the first two games also, so if you are familiar you’ll pick it up almost instantly. If you are new then it may take a while (but not long) to get used to the controls. Newbies don’t be put off, I warn you it will be frustrating at first but as you get better you will pull off some mighty tricks that will even impress your grandma!! This huge game contains one hell of a mountain (contain gorgeous graphics) bigger than Everest and contains three peaks, each one getting gradually harder and more hazardous. Never think you’ve finished a course either as rivals will break your records meaning you need to get your title back. This will add to life off the game! The difference this time round compared to that of its predecessors, you can board as free as you like, equip and dress your boarder, and battle for money! If you get tired of the races or freestyle events then the free ride option is for you! Like I say, you can board where u want. There also ’Big Challenges’ in free ride mode to earn extra cash to update stats or looks!! Into music, well this game is not short of it my friend, containing well known names like Fat Boy Slim, Oakenfold, and remixes of Placebo and Queens of the Stone Age. Careful in your tracks, however, if you become rough with your punching you’ll gain enemies. Fancy a break from 1-Player?? Then get your friend round, you wont get ’board’ of this game with a mate!! No Mates?? (Unlikely). Got net? Then get online and challenge those strangers from around the world and show off what you’ve got!! An ace game well worth having on your console people!! You’ll love the boarders, you’ll love the tracks, you’ll love the moves, and last but not least you’ll come to love the mountain

I may never leave the house again...

SSX Tricky was fine. This just blows it away! Much more freedom on the tracks and how you want to play, awesome graphics, sound and gameplay. The attention to detail is amazing. My only gripe? It looks like Eddie’s hung up his board :( Shame.

Pretty Cool Game

There are a lot of cool trick, graphics are decent as well for a kind of cartoon characters and tracks. However, there are not many tracks and the no guide on how to play, you have to learn on your own.
