What’s new in Championship Manager 2006:
The championship manager team is proud to announce the following new signings/additions:

Updated Player and Competition data – Player data has been given a complete overhaul and is the most realistic data to date.

Revolutionary Gameplan Engine – Our new Gameplan technology gives you the choice of camera angles and 3D TV aspects to provide the most exciting match day coverage of any previous CM title

Simulated World – You can now keep track of other competitions and leagues that exist in the game using our simulation match engine to get results. This allows you to track potential new signings and top points scorers from around the World.

Customisable Highlights Mode – You can now tailor the highlights shown in the new Gameplan engine so that you see the action that you want to watch

Improved Match Engine AI – The match day action has been overhauled for CM2006. Everything from the Goalkeeping to the Attacking has seen a massive improvement bringing you the best ever match coverage of any CM to date

Player interaction – You can now communicate with your players throughout the season allowing you to explain your actions and appease disgruntled players.

Player enquiries – The Player enquiries feature, allows you to quickly gauge a players interest in joining your club without entering into long negotiations only to find out that the player really isn’t interested in signing for you.

Match Summary Screen –The match summary screen details match summary information during the game. Information on player performance, player conditions, work rates, strike rates, shots on target, tackles, possession, corners and freekicks are displayed in this window for both sides. Latest scores from around the league are also displayed in the match summary pop up screen.

Pre-match Formation & team information screen – The new Pre-match formation and team information screen gives you the team sheets, formations, tactics and team statistics ahead of the game.

Match fitness – The players will all return from their summer breaks out of shape and lacking match fitness. It is your job as a manager to whip them into shape during pre-season. If you start them lacking match fitness at the beginning of the season they will not perform to their true potential during those games!

Defensive formations – You can now choose how deep your defensive line should play using the defensive line slider technology.

Club benefactor – Give yourself a billionaire chairman and all the trimmings that come with it. You will not only have the financial advantages of working with a cash rich chairman, but also an enhanced reputation, as players will be attracted to coming to your highly ambitious club. The flipside to this however is that board expectations will be greater, putting more pressure on you as the manager!

Parallel Match Processing – You can now watch a match whilst progressing through days using the Parallel Match Processing technology. Use the options available to watch your last, the next opposition’s last match or simply watch a game of you choice.

Player Knowledge – Player Attributes can now be masked from the user making scouting more important than ever before.

Additional Cups – The Championship Manager team have added additional cups to this year’s release, including Copa Sudamericana Competitions.

Improved Player Scouting and Coach Reports

Board interaction – The board are now much more approachable and take into consideration your league position and form when approached with your requests or ultimatums.

Transfer realism – There is now a much greater realism for transfers in the game. Clubs will haggle during negotiations with you, other clubs try and out bid you to land a star player and your greatest rivals in the game are now no-longer likely to make it easy for you to get your hands on any of their players! You will also receive more media coverage than ever before during each transfer deal.
