Harder than Guitar Hero and crazier than Samba de Amigo, the Pop 'n Music series originated in Japan and has spawned over 20 arcade games since 1998 and 15 console games for Dreamcast, PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Color. With a thriving import market and a unique nine-button controller, this is one of Konami’s most addictive and enduring franchises. Now on the Wii and released in the West for the first time, Pop 'n Rhythm will bring a smile to everyone's faces as they move their controllers and their hips to the pop 'n music! More than just a rhythm game, Pop 'n Rhythm marries timing, coordination and strategy to the sound of popular artists like the Jackson 5, Motorhead and Franz Ferdinand. Utilizing the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, players take control of their choice of 14 different characters and begin their rhythm quest through 6 unique stages, while keeping the beat of music as they hit the coloured buttons. Watch out for the difficulty level increasing - the key to getting through the song is to manage your time and speed! Pop 'n Rhythm fans are very passionate about content, so in addition to the songs that will be available on the disc at launch, Konami will also add additional songs through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to keep fans moving to the beat.
