Dance Dance Revolution is the new name for Dancing Stage titles and retains all of the aspects that have made the previous incarnations one of the most popular brands Konami publishes. Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party 2 is the second title to be released on the Nintendo Wii and yet again it offers an unparalleled level of interaction thanks to the unique Wii controllers. With over 25 licenced tracks including the smash hit Number 1 'Umbrella' there is plenty to keep all music fans entertained and thanks to the wide variety of game styles within the game, enough options to challenge all Dance Dance Revolution pros. The customisable Workout Mode lets users set their own parameters and goals to enable the game to function as a fitness tool as well as an entertaining Wii title! The Groove Arena Mode is a form of career mode whereby the players begin dancing in smaller arenas and gradually win fans with their skills and routines. As the fan base grows, so do the gigs and the size of the arenas as the player's popularity rises. New tracks are unlockable in this mode that are then useable throughout the game. Players can also use their Miis in Hottest Party 2. Use of the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk is also standard in Hottest Party 2, meaning the dancing routines are more varied and require a great deal more skill to master as players have to combine hand and arm movements with the traditional timings of their feet. With the Dance Mat bundled with the software, Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party 2 offers an instant 'in' for Wii owners to sample the original party game that started it all.
