Pokemon Emerald takes place in the Hoenn region and features all-new areas and exciting new plot twists. The story begins when a young aspiring Pokemon trainer moves to Littleroot Town. Crammed amid a truckload of boxes, our hero enters the foreign neighborhood eager to explore. Shortly into your journey a challenge arises and you must choose from three Pokemon -- Torchic, Mudkip or Treecko -- and begin a quest to become the world’s best Pokemon Trainer. During your quest you’ll enter the Battle Frontier, where you’ll need every bit of your strategy knowledge and cunning to win. A role playing game similar to all the other main Pokemon titles, the story for Pokemon: Emerald takes place over land and sea and pits you against the Team Aqua and Team Magma from Saphire and Ruby. This time around, Pokemon will show off their moves prior to battle, perhaps as a sort of taunt. Nintendo also added some new options to the game. A new Battle Frontier area has you play through seven big battles. The Battle Dome places you in a tournament in which only three Pokemon can participate. The Battle Tube has you select from three entrances and attempt to make your way to a goal. Features A new Pokemon Battle Frontier that is more advanced and challenging will test the skills of the best Pokemon Trainers. Players will need to train hard to battle against the new 7 Frontier Brain competitors in order to obtain all of the symbols in the Battle Frontier. Bring full cross compatibility to this game by connecting to Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen. Wireless multiplayer trading and battling with up to 4 players using a wireless adapter.
