Terence Rattigan pens this British wartime drama starring Hugh Williams, Ralph Richardson and Deborah Kerr. British journalist Colin Metcalfe (Williams) becomes foreign correspondent in Norway just as Hitler invades Poland in 1939. On the way to Norway, his boat is attacked by a German U-Boat, but when he tells the Navy about it they disbelieve him and - to add insult to injury - remove him from his job. Later, when German forces invade Norway, Metcalfe returns, determined to uncover what is going on and to stop the Germans in their tracks.
