Neil Abramson directs this indie drama following a young American soldier as he confronts life's complexities during his Thanksgiving leave. Having completed his basic training as a private in the United States Marine Corps, 19-year-old Mike Holland (Nick Cannon) returns home to California to catch up with his family and friends before being shipped out to Iraq. Over a four-day period he begins a relationship with a young woman he meets on the bus, Cristina (Melonie Diaz), sees his estranged father (Chi McBride) for the first time in years, and has a chance encounter with a disabled soldier recently back from Iraq (Jay Hernandez).
