How to Order at GameSeek

Gameseek have covered all corners to make your shopping experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.

How to Order Online:
To browse the store you can either view the featured products on one of our front pages or you can use search facility at the top of each page. Alternatively, you can categorise your search by using the menu on the left hand side of each page underneath "Platforms." Choose your desired system and on the next page you can choose which type of game or accessory you want to find.

Once you have found the product you wish to buy, click the 'Add to Shopping Basket' icon. This will transfer the item into your shopping basket and will transfer you onto the shopping basket screen.

From this screen you can choose to checkout (to finalise your order) or to continue shopping.

If you would like to order more than one item, continue shopping. The shopping basket stores each item you have selected, so the information will still be present when you return back to the shopping basket screen, enabling you to stock up. The more items you put into the basket, the more mone you will save! Also remember that you can allways take items out of the shopping basket at a later stage. So do stock up!

Once all your required items have been added to your basket, you will be asked to choose your payment method and select your country - this is located at the bottom right of your basket. You will be asked to pay using your Credit / Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo & Delta) or by using or Paypal.

If you would like to pay using a Credit / Debit Card you will be shown step by step how to complete your order using the secure ordering system. For your protection and to ensure the prompt processing of your order, the name, billing address, and ship to address you enter must match your credit card billing statement. How do I search for items?
The easiest way to find items is to use the "Search Gameseek" field located at the top of each page. You can select and search in singular categories or do a general search that covers all the categories on the website. Searching can be done by selecting inside the search box, then typing the specified details and clicking on "Go". Try to keep your search simple, for example: If you are searching for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, instead of typing the phrase "Grand Theft Auto San Andreas" by entering just one word in the search, eg. "Theft" or "Andreas", you will find what you are looking for much easier.

Alternatively you can search for items by category. This type of search will pick up a more broader range of results. For example if you wanted to view a list of Racing games for the Playstation 2 console, you would first click on "Sony PS2" situated underneath the "Browse Platform" box on top left of the site. You will now be on the Playstation 2 homepage that lists everything for the Playstation 2 console. If you browse down the category list on the left hand side of the page you will see the Racing category situated beneath "PS2 Games". What are your Speciality Shops?
This is just another way of searching for your favourite products. You will notice that "Speciality Shops" are situated one section below the "Browse Platform" box on top left of the site.You will notice that there is 12 shops allready listed in this box (eg. Joytech, Logic 3, Logitech etc.) Click on any of these stores or alternatively click on the "View all Stores" button and it will take you to the store list. Here you will find suppliers of all the games & accessories stocked by us. By clicking on any of the company logos you will be directed to a unique specialist page for that supplier. How much does postage and packaging cost and where do you deliver to?

All orders based inside the UK are shipped FREE of charge via Royal Mail 48 unless an expedited delivery option is selected. Our European and International orders are shipped via Royal Mail Airmail.

UK: At GameSeek we're proud to offer a fast, FREE, efficient and hassle-free delivery service. Choose which items you want to buy and decide where you'd like them sent, and we'll take care of everything, making sure your items are carefully packaged and arrive quickly. For most items we now also offer paid shipping enhancements, including upgrades to Royal Mail 24 and Tracked 48 or 24. Certain items will also qualify for enhanced next day delivery depending on certain criteria including the time of day when you place your order and the weight of the item/s.

Europe, USA & Rest of the World: Shipping charges vary and for European locations is as low as £1.99* per item

Who do you use for your deliveries and how long does delivery take?
Our small consignments are sent by UK Royal Mail and are large consignments are sent via UK Parcelforce courier, with in-stock items being despatched within 24 - 48 hours. If an item is out of stock it is ordered from our suppliers same day and is despatched as soon as it comes into stock. It is always possible an item will be out of stock or otherwise unavailable from our suppliers, in which case the despatch of the item will be affected by its availability from our suppliers. Delivery can normally be expected within 3 - 6 working days from the date of despatch, however adverse weather conditions in the Channel Islands, routine customs & excise checks and/or Royal Mail delays can sometimes affect delivery times. Because of this we are unable to start tracing lost packets until 15 days have elapsed since the date of despatch. Please contact us if you haven't received your item after this time so we may investigate further. If an item proves to be lost in the post we will always send a replacement free of charge. What happens if I order an item that is not in stock?
If an item is out of stock when you place your order, it will automatically be entered into our purchase ordering system. Our purchasing team process orders on a daily basis and items are normally received within 3-6 working days from our suppliers. However, some items may not be received within this time frame due to stock availability issues or items being withdrawn or deleted by the distributor. What happens if I pre-order a title?
When you pre-order any item we will automatically reserve it for you and it will be despatched to you within 24 hours of arriving into stock. We shall endeavour to ship pre-ordered titles before the day of release, however are unable to guarantee this service due to any unforseen circumstances that are beyond our control. Can I get an order shipped to a different address to the billing address?
Yes, make sure you order with your billing address* then fill in an alternative shipping address below this - there is a clearly marked box on the checkout page where you can add an alternative shipping address.

At the checkout it says: VendorTxCode has been used before?
If you are receiving this message when trying to order via Credit Card:

"An Error has occurred! The VSP has been unable to continue with the transaction. VendorTxCode has been used before. All codes must be unique."

You will need to delete all the contents of your shopping basket, refresh your browser and start again.

The error means that a transaction ID has been resent to our payment system. Every transaction must have a unique transactions ID. The SagePay Payment System will not allow a transaction ID to be accepted twice. If you reached the payment pages and decided to use your back button to go back to Gameseek, then resubmit your order, we may not have created a new transaction ID for the resubmitted order. At the checkout it says: The shopping cart contents are incorrectly formatted? 

If you are receiving this message when trying to order via Credit Card:

"An error has occurred whilst attempting the requested operation. The error is: The shopping cart contents are incorrectly formatted."
