Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot is looking to push Ubisoft to release even more open-world games in the upcoming console generation. Over the past seven years Ubisoft have put nine open-world titles onto the market, but seek to exceed this number when the Xbox One and PS4 are released, later this year.
As reported by Joystiq, Guillemot told investors that "Through those years, we have developed technologies, we have grown the experience of our teams, we have put in place pre-sized processes to ensure efficient collaboration between multiple studios working simultaneously on the same massive maps. This gives us a unique opportunity in the industry to bring open-world on a regular basis."
Ubisoft currently have 2 open-world games in the pipeline, Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed 4, which are slated for release later this year and said, by Yves Guillemot, to be in the top 5 pre-ordered games for the Xbox One and PS4.
