Falskaar, a mod for Skyrim on PC, adds 25 hours of gameplay, a map that is one-third of the size of Skyrim's, new dungeons, new quests, and new ideas. Alexander was so interested in working for Bethesda Studios that he put a year of his life into Falskaar, favoring creating content and showcasing his skills rather than heading to design school.
The community response has been hugely positive for Velicky's Falskaar, but Bethesda are yet to release a statement on it. The mod had over 100 different contributors, ranging from voice actors to people writing books for his fictional world. As reported by PC Gamer; "I had some people help me out with a few models and textures, someone wrote a book or two for me… But otherwise all content was implemented, written and developed by me."
Velicky stated that Bethesda are aware of the Falskaar, and now waits for the response that he spent 2,000 hours hoping for. "The best way to show Bethesda Game Studios that I want a job there and should be hired is to create content that meets the standards of their incredible development team."
We will keep you updated on Alexander's progress in landing his dream job at Bethesda.
Update 28/11/13 -
