Fighting video games have been around since the very first coin-operated arcade games and are extremely popular. The player controls a character and then engages in close combat with an antagonist or opponent, which are usually of similar strength and skill level, meaning that player must master fighting techniques such as blocking, counter-attacking and chaining together sequences of attacks known as “combos”.
